  Introducing ASP.NET

Register Today

Introducing ASP.NET Using C# is offered as a five day  hands on class for up to twelve students. The focus of this class is on introducing programmers who are typically already familiar with ASP to the .NET Framework and to ASP.NET in particular. This is a hands on class in which every student will have their own computer with all of the tools needed to build complete ASP.NET applications.  The class includes an introduction to the C# language and coverage of some of its cooler features, such as XML comments.  However, students who are not sure that C# will be their language of choice will find that most of the material is language independent, and will be useful regardless of what language(s) they will eventually use for developing ASP.NET applications.

Students who are looking to learn Classic ASP, or who cannot fit an ASPSmith course into their schedule should consider one of the excellent classes offered by Charles Carroll, found here: ASPTraining.com.

What You Should Already Know

Ideally, students should know how to build dynamic web applications using Active Server Pages. Familiarity with HTML is assumed, as well as how to handle passing information between web pages using forms and/or querystrings or cookies. Some basic understanding of data access and SQL is also assumed.
